Privacy Policy

FingerFood is a Baby-Led Weaning companion app built around a single privacy principle: your data is your data, and it stays on your device.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect personal data linked to your identity. FingerFood does not use accounts, logins, or any form of user authentication. There is no server-side record of you, your baby, or your activity.
Data stored on your device
All baby profile, tracker, allergen, and favorites data lives on your device in encrypted on-device storage (MMKV). It never leaves your phone. If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted with it.
Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not see, receive, or store your payment information, name, or Apple ID. RevenueCat handles entitlement state with an anonymous device identifier — never linked to your identity.
Ask-AI questions
Questions you ask the in-app AI assistant are processed transiently to generate an answer and are not stored. They are not linked to you or your device, and they are not used to build a profile of you or your baby.
Crash reports
Crash reports are collected via Sentry to help us fix bugs. They contain a stack trace and the device model. They exclude personal identifiers, app contents, and any data you've entered into the app.
Analytics
We use PostHog to measure aggregate feature usage — for example, how many users open a recipe versus the meal planner. Events are not tied to any user record. We do not record screen contents, taps on text, or anything you type.
Content delivery
Recipes, food cards, and articles are fetched from our content delivery network. These requests are anonymous and contain no identifying information beyond a standard IP address used to route the response.
Children's data
FingerFood is a parental companion app — it is designed for the parent or caregiver to use. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The baby profile fields you enter (name, date of birth, diet) stay on your device.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be surfaced in-app with a clear notice before they take effect.
